2026-2027 President’s Challenge
Our theme this year is “Canadiana.” And I want you to interpret that however you like—what does being Canadian mean to you? (note: it is asked you create something new for this challenge)
· Maybe it’s enjoying a good cup of coffee on the deck at the lake.
· Maybe it’s watching your kids play at the local park.
· Maybe it’s a stunning prairie sunset, a favourite summer road trip, hockey on a Saturday night, or simply a moment that makes you think, “Yep, this is Canada.”
There are no rules about what your Canadiana has to look like—just use your own Canadian experience as inspiration and turn it into a quilt.
You’ll have until our June membership meeting to create your masterpiece, when we’ll showcase everyone’s creations and celebrate the incredible variety of what Canada means to each of us.
There are no size requirements. Need a new table runner, placemat set, wall hanging or maybe this is the excuse you have been looking for to make a new quilt for the spare bedroom.
Each criterion earns you another entry to win one of two $50 GC to a quilt shop or Manitoba quilting vendor of their choice.
